Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for an estimate / to come out?
Estimates are completely free — our technician comes out, checks the vent, and gives you the exact price before any work is done.
How soon / same day?
We can usually get a technician out to you same day or within a couple hours.
How much is a dryer vent cleaning?
It depends on how long the vent run is and where it exits, so the technician checks it on site and gives you the exact price up front — and the estimate is free.
My clothes aren't drying / take forever
That's a really common reason folks call us — the technician will clear and check the vent so your dryer can breathe and work right again.
Is a clogged dryer vent a fire hazard?
It's smart to take that seriously — built-up lint is why we recommend regular cleaning. If you smell burning, please stop the dryer and unplug it, and we'll get someone out quickly to check it.
There's a burning smell from my dryer
Please stop using the dryer and unplug it or shut off its breaker for now — a burning smell needs attention. We'll get a technician out to check the vent and get you safe again.
How often should I clean my dryer vent?
Most homes do well with a cleaning about once a year, and sooner for a big household or a long vent run — the technician can suggest what fits your setup.
Do you test the airflow / prove it's clean?
Yes — we can test the airflow before and after so you can see the difference once the vent is cleared.
Birds or animals are in my vent
We can take care of that and add a guard to keep them out while still letting air flow — the technician will clear it and give you the price up front.
Do you do commercial / apartments / laundromats?
Yes, we clean commercial and multi-unit dryer vents as well as homes — just tell me a little about the property and we'll get you scheduled.
Can you reroute or install a new vent?
Absolutely — we reroute, install, and replace vents, and the technician can look at the layout and give you a free estimate.
What's your warranty / guarantee?
We stand behind our work — the technician will go over the exact warranty for your job when he's there.
Do you offer financing / payment options?
That's a good question — let me have the office confirm the current payment options and we'll go over them with you.
Do you service my area?
We're local and cover your area — I'll just grab your address and get a technician headed your way.
⚠️ Safety first
- Burning smell while the dryer runs: Please stop using the dryer for now and unplug it, or switch off its breaker — a burning smell around a dryer needs to be taken seriously. Leave it off and our technician will check the vent and get you safe again.
- Dryer or laundry area getting extremely hot / shutting itself off: Let's play it safe — please don't run the dryer until we've checked it, since that much heat can be a fire risk. Turn it off, and we'll get a technician out to clear and inspect the vent.
- Gas dryer with a fully blocked vent, or anyone feeling dizzy/headachy in the laundry area: With a gas dryer, a blocked vent can let fumes build up — please stop the dryer, open some windows, and if anyone feels dizzy, sick, or headachy, step outside for fresh air and call 911. We'll get a technician out right away.
Know the terms
- Transition hose
- The short flexible duct between the back of the dryer and the wall; the part most likely to kink or clog.
- Vent run / duct
- The full path the air travels from the dryer to the outside; longer, twistier runs collect more lint.
- Exterior termination / hood
- The vent cap on the outside wall or roof with a flapper that should open when the dryer runs.
- Booster fan
- An inline fan that helps push air through a long or upward vent run.
- Airflow test
- A measurement of how well air moves through the vent, taken before and after cleaning to prove it worked.
- Pest / bird guard
- A screen or cover at the exterior vent that keeps animals out while still letting air flow.
