Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for an estimate / to come out?
Estimates are free — we come out, look at your lawn, and give you the exact price before any work is done.
How much for mowing / lawn service?
It depends on the size of your lawn and the services you'd like, so we measure and give you the exact price up front — and the estimate is free. Regular plans usually save per visit.
Do you offer regular / recurring service?
Yes — most customers set up a regular schedule, weekly, every other week, or a full-season program, so the lawn always looks its best.
My lawn is brown / patchy / dying
I'm sorry to hear that — the technician will take a close look at your lawn on site and put together the right plan to bring it back. We won't guess the cause over the phone.
Can you get rid of weeds?
Yes — weed control is one of our core services, and the technician will check what's growing and treat it on the right schedule to knock it back and keep it down.
How do I get a greener, thicker lawn?
A lot of that comes from feeding, aeration, and overseeding done at the right time — the technician will look at your lawn and set up a plan. It builds over a season rather than overnight.
Do you do aeration and overseeding?
We do — aeration and overseeding are great for a thin or compacted lawn, and fall is usually the best window. We'll give you a free estimate.
Do you treat grubs or lawn insects / disease?
Yes — the technician will inspect the lawn on site and treat grubs, insects, or disease with the right product. We identify it in person rather than guess over the phone.
Do you do fertilization programs?
We do — a seasonal fertilization and treatment program matched to your grass type keeps the lawn fed and healthy through the year.
Is the treatment safe for my kids and pets?
We just ask that you keep kids and pets off the lawn until the treatment has dried or for the time on the product label, and the technician will tell you exactly how long to wait.
Do you do cleanups / leaf removal?
Yes — spring and fall cleanups and leaf removal, either one-time or as part of your regular service.
Do you do commercial or HOA properties?
Yes, we handle homes, businesses, and HOA properties. Tell me a little about the property and we'll set up an estimate.
How soon can you start?
We can usually get you on the schedule within a few days — I'll grab your details and find the soonest opening for you.
Do you offer financing / payment plans?
That's a good question — let me have the office confirm the current payment and billing options and we'll go over them with you.
Do you service my area?
We're local and cover your area — I'll grab your address and get you set up with an estimate.
⚠️ Safety first
- Someone swallowed or was heavily exposed to a lawn chemical/pesticide: Please call Poison Control right now at 1-800-222-1222, or 911 if it's serious — bring the product label if you have it. Your safety comes first and we'll help however we can.
- Pets or kids on a freshly treated lawn: It's best to keep kids and pets off the lawn until any treatment has fully dried or for the time on the product label — the technician will let you know exactly how long to wait.
- Wasp or hornet nest found in the yard: Please keep everyone back from the nest and don't disturb it — if anyone's allergic and gets stung, call 911. Let us know and we'll be careful around it.
Know the terms
- Aeration
- Pulling small plugs from the lawn to relieve compaction so air, water, and nutrients reach the roots.
- Overseeding
- Spreading new grass seed over an existing lawn to thicken it and fill thin spots.
- Pre-emergent
- A weed treatment applied before weeds like crabgrass sprout, to stop them early.
- Dethatching
- Removing the dead layer of grass and roots that builds up and chokes the lawn.
- Cool-season / warm-season grass
- Grass types that grow best in different seasons and need different mowing heights and feeding times.
- Core
- The soil plug pulled during aeration; leaving cores on the lawn to break down is normal.
