β οΈ Safety first
- Sparking pump, tripped GFCI, or a damaged cord near the water: Please shut off the breaker to the pond before you touch anything near the water β electricity and water together are dangerous. Once it's off, keep back and we'll get a technician out to handle it safely.
- Small children or pets with access to open pond water: Please keep young children and pets away from the open water until it's secured β a pond is a drowning risk even when it's shallow. We can talk about safety options when the technician is out.
- Someone got a shock from the water or equipment: Please don't touch the water or the equipment, shut off the breaker if you can reach it safely, and if anyone was shocked and doesn't feel right, call 911. We'll take care of the electrical side of the pond.
- Fish gasping at the surface / possible oxygen crash: Let's treat this as urgent for the fish β if you have a way to add fresh water gently or run an air pump that can help, and we'll get a technician out to you as quickly as we can.
